Tribal Tales of Terror Ghost Walk ... Just added by Spirits of Milford Ghost Walks for the Spring of 2017
The Iroquois Indians who lived in Milford believed in vengeful spirits that attacked and punished those who spoke badly about the dead. The Algonquins cut off their enemies’ fingers and toes, plus performed human sacrifices here. Take our Tribal Tales of Terror tour, and be terrified as you walk through the forested paths where early Milford Indian tribes once lived and hunted. Along this roughly-half mile route, you’ll hear stories about not just these long-gone Indians, but those who swore their spirits would always remain. Participants who desire will also get the chance to try out paranormal investigation tools like pendulums. This roughly 1-hour event is absolutely NOT for those easily frightened, as the undead creatures that so frightened the Indians still might be lurking.
The walk starts at 10:30 p.m. near the entrance to Wilcox Park, which is located in the parking lot of the public boat launch at the head of Milford Harbor, behind the Milford Public Library (57 New Haven Ave., Milford CT 06460). Space is strictly limited to ensure the best possible experience for all participants. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended. You must also be able to safely walk along an uneven wooded trail.
Cost for advance tickets is $15 per person. Walk-up ticket price is $18 per person. Children 4 and under are free. Parking is available throughout downtown Milford. But one of the most convenient places to park is Fowler Field, behind the Milford Public Library.
